You just gotta love trademark disputes…

The whole kerfuffle surrounding F.E.A.R. 2 springs too mind, what with its WBIE vs. Vivendi jiggery pokery and community naming competition.

Now Bohemia Interactive (Operation Flashpoint, Armed Assault, VBS1) are shouting from the rooftops that Codemaster’s proclamations of Flashpoint 2 being ‘the official sequel’ to their original product despite them not being involved are ‘wrong’.

Quoting the Rock Paper Shotgun article that does a swell job of covering the whole shebang is probably the best way to go…

Is the upcoming Codemasters game really ‘the much anticipated return of the genre-defining military conflict simulator’
