Ok, Barry didn’t really get on with the iOS version of Sonic 4, but it’s not like everyone didn’t see it coming – Sonic Team have been sent to Coventry many times with their broken attempts to reinvent their namesake series for years.

So, as per usual, it’s up to the fans to show them how it’s done.

It’s the infamous attract mode from Sonic 2, featuring Emerald Hill Zone Act 1, in the pseudo-next gen styling of Sonic 4. No broken physics, no homing attack & no interface giggles to get on the way.

Only being the internet, nobody was really silenced…

Visitors to the site are greated with the following text, explaining that the site is now closed (mere days after mass-mailing a massive new Codemasters offer and the release of Age of Wonders on the service).

The internet already has a compelling lawsuit-load of evidence of the many failures at Realtime Worlds that lead up to this point, not least this blog currently being maintained by ex-staffer Luke Halliwell, who vents his thoughts quite vigourously at the mis-management that clearly went on behind the scenes.

Regardless, following a month of administration and a clear inability to find a rescue buyer, the decision … Read More...

Back in twenty-odd-five, an American computer game developer famous for kitsch 60s spy shooters and FPS based on cult Disney properties made a game about a girl. This wasn’t any normal girl though – this was a girl so wronged she took it out on the world.

Riding high on the tails of hype generated by the remakes of The Ring, Monolith’s game about a damaged girl with psychic powers, violent slow motion shootouts and a Special Forces group with the … Read More...
