Most people scoffed at Warren Spector when he said his next game wasn’t going to be Syst3m Shock, Deus Ex: Visible War, Tea-Leaf or Ultima Deeper Underground, but rather a game featuring the Mouse from the House that was only going to be released on the Wii.

We’ve all been impressed by the concept art but unimpressed by the thought of the game being yet another casual-minded waggle-a-thon. Then there’s the fact that nobody apart from ol’ Ninty seem to have managed to do the Wii justice.

Well, Disney Interactive have just released a trailer for Epic Mickey…

Just to … Read More...

What we do know:

It’s console bound (all 3 main platforms, with motion control for Wii & PS3 via SIXAXIS)

It’s 2D

It’s *the* official sequel to Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles

Green Hill Zone features (incl. Mobius Loops)

It’s episodic

Sonic is the only playable character

Online Leaderboards

What we don’t know:

How big the episodes will be?

Will any of Sonic’s ‘pals’ feature?

Will it be any good?!

…in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing!

Unfortunately for the fervent fan base, no, this isn’t the official Shenmue 3 confirmation they seem to demand (well, there’s still always the chance it will happen though… obsessive fans did wonders for Family Guy & Firefly), but even a hint that SEGA are still in touch with their game properties can keep us hoping.

SEGA’s Mario Kart rip-off is due on an impressive number of formats early next year (having been delayed so it wouldn’t compete with Modern Warfare 2).… Read More...

PAX 2009 has just finished and, swine-flu not-withstanding, it was a success.

There’s a metric ass-load of trailers after the cut, some of which require you to prove that you were born on January 1st, 1900… You have been forewarned!

Think the EU Sony-exclusive cluster fuck that is Ghostbusters: The Game couldn’t get any worse?

It just did…

Firstly, the US PC release of the game is completely bereft of any of the promised Co-Op multiplayer, instead simply relying on the internet to make sure that the paying genuine customers filthy nasty pirates aren’t stealing Terminal Realities game babies and eating them.

The official word – The console releases were a higher priority:

Multiplayer for the PC version of Ghostbusters is something that Threewave and Terminal Reality always wanted to do.
With the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo is now in the past, lets have a look at the highs and the lows of the event…

Nintendo made so many waves with the Wiimote 3 years ago, it’s surprising it’s taken Microsoft & Sony so long to get comparable technology out there, but this years E3 will be fondly remembered for both Microsoft’s Project Natal and Sony’s PS3-nis PlayStation Motion Controller.

Now too the games! For the first time since I can remember, there seem to be almost as many original IPs than sequels. Games such as Realtime World’s APB, the … Read More...

There isn’t a lot in the world that simultaneously makes me wee and crap my pants… This very nearly was one of those moments!

Anyway, E3 this year is just getting better and better, with both the afformentioned Monkey Island re-release now confirmed for PC as well as XBLA and, in a completely left-field move, LucasArts putting everything they said that hurt the entire adventure community SO MUCH behind them and teaming up with Telltale Games to bring a series of Monkey Island episodes to both PC & WiiWare starting next month!
