World of Goo heads to European shores (officially)
RockPaperShotgun have nicely pointed out that 2D Boy ‘s magnum opus, World of Goo , is heading for final approach on european shores, with both Retail and Steam releases imminent for PC & Wii/WiiWare.
If you haven’t already bought it direct from their online store (you know who you are, heathens), then expect to find it boxed in-store by the end of the year. Good Times!
On a related note, the above article includes a quote from 2D Boys Ron Carmel that of the ~150,000 people who have played the game, over 90% are pirated copies.

Nintendo October Conference roundup
| At Nintendos October conference in japan, they made a couple of announcements.First is the rumoured new DS called the DSi, it has a SD slot, no GBA slot, downloadable games (bought with the newly renamed Nintendo points) and apparently both screens are touch screens but we havent confirmed this yet, but we expect to get confirmation at the american conference later today.
Also announced were the following games: Sin and Punishment 2 (Wii) There was loads more, and we’ll bring you more later today. |

Rock Band instrument pack gets price cut
| EA has sent along word that as of friday, the Rock Band instrument pack will start to retail for £110.
This is ahead of the game launching on PS2, PS3 and Wii. Now to just wait a long time for Rock Band 2. |

Nintendo have released Super Mario RPG onto the european virtual console.
This Squaresoft classic has never made it to europe before and is bloody good so go download it now!

Sega Confirms Sonic and the Black Knight
Sega has confirmed that the Nintendo Power Scans showing “Sonic and the Black Knight” are indeed true.
The game is a followup to Sonic and The Secret Rings, and continues the storybook theme as the game sees Sonic transported to Medieval England to help King Arthur…or something. It’s being made by Sonic Team Japan, presumably the same guys behind Secret Rings (which we quite liked) so we’re kind of looking forward to this.
