PSN Update – Your Details may have been compromised

Sony have provided an update on the now 7 day outage of the Playstation Network which has been down due to an external intrusion into the system. In their latest update they have said it is likely that personal information (such as name and address and purchase history) has been compromised as well as Credit Card information if you’ve kept it on the system for purchases.

THQ publishes Blood Bowl – in other news, bear shits in wood!

Seriously, [THQ] have published everything else Games Workshop for the past five years so it’s hardly unsurprising that they are bringing the English version of everyone’s favourite game of fantasy football with added violence to UK retail and online stores in the form of a tangible release.

The game has been on retail shelves in France, Spain, Germany and a few other retail shelves since mid-june (likely due to licensing) but British gamers have been restricted to a digital download direct from Cyanide for a frankly absurd amount of money .

PSP Woah? – Tech Radar/T3 PSP Go Hands On

Tech Radar has posted a run-down on T3′s hands-on impressions of Sony’s latest handheld.

The latest revision of the portable goes on sale later in the year (just in time for the Christmas rush) and brings with it a revised, smaller form-factor with the controls hidden behind a phone-esque sliding mechanism.

Sony poach (PAL) Ghostbusters – Bad Times

Mere weeks from release, Sony has decided that the imminent Blu-Ray release of the original Ghostbusters films didn’t have enough of a marketing push, therefore they have thrown a hefty chunk of cash towards the as ever terminally-strapped-for-cash Atari.

The result = Platform exclusivity for the PS3 & PS2 (with the PSP coming along later) for the foreseeable future .

What this means for the Xbox 360, PC, Wii or DS releases at the moment is unknown, although rumours state that Atari will be publishing them later (presumably using the bung from Sony as finance, assuming they haven’t died off … Read More…

Big Meaty Blood Bowl Trailer

Everyone loves a bit of violence and it’s even better when that violence is provided as part and parcel of a Games Workshop license.

The official Blood Bowl game, built from the ground up by Cyanide (of Chaos League & the resulting lawsuit that allowed them to develop Blood Bowl fame) acts as a fairly accurate homage to the board game it is based on, as evidenced by the new trailer, just released.

Some of the footage (i.e. the CGI) isn’t particularly fresh, but I can’t remember seeing neither the player-creator nor much footage of the turn-based mode before.

EA still has the Need for Speed!
