Computers N Stuff (http://www.computersnstuff.co.uk) is currently seeking talented and dedicated people to fill a couple of vacant positions on the site.
CNS is trying to be a professional gaming site with a raw passion for gaming; we hope that all applicants will share this passion too. We offer the latest news and reviews (with the occasional preview thrown in for good measure).
CNS is quickly gaining a reputation with some companies for being a trustworthy and reliable source of Gaming info with an honest opinion when it comes to the games.
I've tried running the site all by myself but it's now getting just a bit too much for me to cope with on my own as i'm finding i never have enough time to review all the games i'm getting sent and write up the latest news, which with my first child on the way means i'm going to get even less time!
Whilst it is voluntary for now, i am looking at starting to pay people on a per article basis next year, but until i know i can trust someone i won't be handing over any moolah.
We currently have openings in the following positions:
News Writers - You must be able to get news from a variety of sources (we will provide you with sources) and then write about it in a logical and professional manner (possibly even with a hint of humour thrown in). I’m not one to set limits on how many news stories a day you should do, but as a minimum i would say 2 a day. Ties in slightly with the next vacancy.
Reviewers - Again you must be able to communicate effectively what the game is about and be able to write at length (our reviews are usually about 300-600 words, although in the past i've been known to go as far as 1500). At first you will be expected to get your own games but we may from time to time send you games to review (In fact i have a few sitting around here that could do with being reviewed that i simply don't have the time for).
All applicants for Review positions must be based in the UK or have their own contacts in their respective country.
If you wish to apply or you simply have any questions send an email to:
applications -at- computersnstuff.co.uk
When applying don’t forget to either link to or attach some writing samples. All applications will be considered and I aim to reply to everyone who applies. Also don't forget to say which position you are applying for.
All and any help is appreciated, i hadn't checked the applications email in 12 months and found a few emails in there that i hadn't replied to - if that was you, i'm VERY VERY sorry and if you'd still like to help out, i'd be more than happy to talk to you.
Thanks for looking and i hope you can help me!
