After a fair amount of teasing over the past few months, GOG.com have announced the big publisher to compliment their already hefty catalogue…

Why hello there Electronic Arts!

A total of 25 titles from the mega-publisher are currently expected to hit the service, including classics from Bullfrog & Origin.

The launch titles are Dungeon Keeper, Wing Commander: Privateer & Ultima Underworld 1 & 2, with Magic Carpet, Crusader: No Remorse & Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri due shortly.

It is expected that the majority of titles announced will be $5.99/equivalent given their age.

Whilst GOG.com have generally stuck to their fantastic remit (old, frequently out-of-print games minus all DRM), they have offered up the odd stinker that really stretches the definition of the term Good Old Games.

Now, not content to rest on their laurels, they’ve taken it to the next level by offering Kings Bounty : The Legend, (the interesting Real-Time/Turn-Based Strategy Game pseudo-sequel to the precursor to the HOM&M series).

My point, you ask? Simple – The game itself is a mere 3 months older than GOG.com itself!

Get it now for $9.99!… Read More...

In the run up too Christmas (and for a short period after, up until the 31st December) Good Old Games are offering double-game bundles for $9.99.

The bundles include:

Stonekeep & Lionheart

MDK & MDK 2

Descent 1 + 2 + 3 (plus the expansion pack for D3)

Fallout 1 & 2

FreeSpace 1, Silent Threat & FreeSpace 2.

I can personally vouch for the quality of the latter 2 offerings, which are nothing short of bargains at the $12 they wanted originally.… Read More...

Firstly, they give us a game out of sequence (announce on Thursday for release the following Tuesday), which is Arx Fatalis, the game that eventually spawned the fun-but-flawed Dark Messiah. It’s also available on Steam for the same price, but who cares – this is a GOG.com release!
