Kinect to retail for £130, new Arcade unit revealed.
Microsoft have announced that the Kinect will launch in November for a RRP of £129.99.
It comes bundled with Kinect Adventures – so the initial hit isn’t too bad but it’s still about £30 more than it really should have been.
Microsoft also confirmed that the new Arcade equivalent will go on sale on the 20th August and will again feature no hard drive and will come with 4GB of internal memory. It will retail for £149.99. Zavvi console sale – update
Destructoid is reporting that Virgin Megastores Zavvi is now pumping out Xbox 360 Arcade SKUs in its retail outlets for a Sainsbury’s equalling £99. The more attractive/feature-complete Premium SKUs are going for £149 & l33t Elites for a snip under £200 too.
The rival PS3 is also coasting at £269.99, which means it’s still cheaper than a standalone Blu-Ray player…
As they have the commercial popularity & rarity of gold-dust, the Wii seems to (unsurprisingly) be holding it’s price.

360 price cut from friday
| Microsoft have announced that as of Friday the 360 will recieve a price cut in Europe.As of Friday the Arcade (no hard drive remember) will be a measly £129.99 making it cheaper than a Wii.
The 60GB Premium will retail for £169.99 (cheaper than a Wii too!) and the Elite will retail for £229.99. |
60GB 360 in stores Friday
Microsoft have sent word that the 60GB Xbox 360 pack will be in UK stores from this friday.
The pack is no different to the current 20GB pack, aside from the harddrive obviously, and will cost the same as the current 20GB pack.… Read More…
