New Xbox 360 controller announced – Happy Chibi Ken is happy

He is also very happy at the moment!  “Why?” I hear you ask..?

Well, Microsoft have just announced that there’s a new wireless controller for the Xbox 360 on the way.

Key changes include rejigged concave bumpers, shiny chromed silver accents, fiddled analogue stick tops and silver-coloured buttons instead of the primary colours of old (no word on whether the system will recognise the new pads and change all the button prompt colours).

Fresh from the success of the upgrades to Xbox Live, Microsoft have decided to give the red-headed stepchild that is Games for Windows a bit of attention (if not TLC).

No, it’s not integrating Facebook and Twitter into the interface – that would be pointless…  Rather it’s now entering into the *ahem* Digital Distribution market.

Whether this now means we finally get a decent persistent client that allows such simple things as managing friends lists outside of games, we don’t know.
