MP creates Gamer’s Voice pressure group #MW2
Nov 10th
Because jumping on the #MW2 (natch) bandwagon isn't shameless enough these days, Tom Watson (one of the few pro-gaming MPs in British Parliment) has set up a Facebook Group to coincide with todays release of the much-anticipated shooter.
Designed to 'give gamers a voice' (although 'how' is still a mystery), the group already has over 6500 irate and vocal members, ready to mobilise in an instant against the Vaz-i regime in a flurry of angry internet hate and mass hysteria.
Still, at least they don't have a Twitter page... Oh, wait!
Quite whether this will involve multiple kiddies calling each other faggots in between mowing down civilians in russian airports is currently unknown.
In related #MW2 news, get to one of the nations many supermarkets for your Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 purchasing needs and pay as little as possible. Word has it Sainsburys & Morissons are the best bets!
#MW2 – One huge bundle of controversy?
Oct 28th

It's safe to say that the biggest game of the year is also going to easily be the most controversial. What's more, it's not always for the right reasons!
From car batteries, through dollar bills, too airports, some thoughts below...
Modern Warfare 2 Trailer release, delayed
Oct 6th

2009 has been all about delays - it's getting hard to keep track of the number of publishers who have bottled it and pushed games (including titles that would probably sell millions anyway) into fiscal Q1 2010 for fear of having to compete with Activision's beast that is the latest Call of Duty.
Now, surprisingly, Activision have pushed Modern Warfare 2 back two weeks, landing Nov 24th.
Now with realistic plastic underwear! – Modern Warfare 2 Special Edition #47
Sep 18th

Obviously not content with HMV snapping the UK rights to the mega-expensive Sex-pest Edition of Modern Warfare 2, GAME have lept in there to attempt to re-assert themselves as numero-uno in the high-street Modern Warfare 2 Special Edition war.
Called the Veteran package, it comes with the same 'Hardened Edition' as the Prestige Edition (meaning alongside the unique content, you get the game (*shock*), a Steelbook game case, art book and Call of Duty on XBLA/PSN), only instead of the bargain-basement night vision goggles & stand you get a doll...
Now, YOU TOO can perve on the neighbours, courtesy of MW2!!!

Cast your minds back to the last, excessive special edition...
Thinking of the BioShock SE w. fake soundtrack & Big Daddy figure? Think bigger! Hows about the imminent Batman: Arkham Asylum SE with 1:1 Batarang & Wildstorm Art Book? Come on, you can do better than that!
Hows about Actizzard offering up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (note the apparently re-introduced brand name) in a Prestige Edition, which includes:
- The highly anticipated sequel in a nice steelbook case
- An artbook
- The original Call of Duty (branded Call of Duty : Classic) over PSN/XBLA
- A plastic molded head for (wait for it)...
- FULL FUNCTIONING NIGHT VISION GOGGLES!
Yep!
Revenge is like a ghost, apparently…: Modern Warfare 2 Reveal Trailer
May 25th

Ok, after two teaser trailers, Infinity Ward have finally released a proper full-length trailer for what is essentially Call of Duty 6.
Lots of shooty bangs, espionage, breath-taking helicopter extractions and shoot-outs in shopping malls to look forward too, although I doubt anything is going to top the nuke from its parent game for shear spectacle, surprise and impact.
Find it after the cut...

GDC Biggie!: Modern Warfare 2 Trailer
Mar 26th

First World at War dropped numbers from its title, now the latest 'official' (i.e. developed by Infinity Ward) Call of Duty game seems too have dropped the whole Call of Duty brand all together!
The big reveal at the GDC was, essentially, the teaser trailer and the release date - a solid 11.10.09, which could be either 11th October or 10th November, depending on what you consider the 'right' date format (or even 09th October 2011, if the world was one giant SQL database!).
Sine-wave based terrorism after the cut!
