Transformative Years – War for Cybertron footage
The teaser trailer for War for Cybertron didn’t give a lot away… The bullshot rendered movie showed everyone where they were intending to go but didn’t drop much in the way of gameplay.
As a result, reservations were cast and everyone moved on, leaving everyone firmly divided into either the ‘wait and see’ or ‘it’ll be a pile of poo’ camp. After all, every other attempt to provide a video game outlet for everyone’s favourite Robots in Disguise has been average at best.
Well, now Activision have given us a trailer, which lives after the cut.… Read More…
Space Explosions… IN SPACE! – Mass Effect 2 Launch Trailer
Like Infinity Ward & (possibly) Valve, some people at BioWare obviously want to make movies… Big booming grand epics with loads of gravitas.

Hey there gurd-looking! – Mass Effect 2 Cinematic Trailer
It’s official –
Venice-based Blur Studios do some good shit . They even made the only decent bit of the hateful Transformers movie tie-in game.
They have since done a cinematic* trailer for Mass Effect 2 and it looks very nice in its obscenely highly detailed character model-ness.
Find it after the cut…
* – in the truest sense – it’s showing with Avatar in multiplexes around the various countries, apparently. Now you too can expose your children/spouse/significant others to violent mutant frogs.… Read More…
Bats^2 – Arkham Asylum 2 announced
I liked Arkham Asylum … so much a little wee nearly came out when the news came in – Batman is back.
No doubt Arkham Asylum 2 is going to be a placeholder name, although seeing as the Asylum has seemingly managed to move brick-by-brick to the middle of the city, it’s a surprisingly accurate description.
It’s probably not worth expecting to much change (it’s to soon for anything more radical than new locations and baddies), but there’s nothing wrong with face-punching goons whilst dressed in a cape and wearing your underwear on the outside.

*sqwee* Transformers : The War for Cybertron trailer
Before I start, I completely understand that this might turn out too be a pile of turgid shit.
Transformers is one of those licenses that seem a sure-fire easy way to make the best game in the world ever, yet often falls flat on its face in execution. Actually, following the unchecked brilliance of Arkham Asylum , I think it’s safe to say that it’s top of the misused license pile following Batman’s departure
Still, War for Cybetron is set prior to first contact with Earth (re: no squishy humans), features lots of animated robot violence and is set for … Read More…
Bits n Pieces – BoB Came In Pieces debut trailer
Bob Came In Pieces looks to be an effortlessly charming about an alien who crashes on a planet (as they all do). Said alien then has to rebuild his ship and escape (as they all do). Said escape attempt must take the form of numerous physics puzzles (seeing a pattern here).
Due shortly from Swedish developers Ludosity , the cutesy sweet trailer is after the cut.
Thanks RPS .… Read More…
Bringing SMARTs too the table – Brink Video, Delay
Brink, the strange single/multiplayer FPS hybrid from Enemy Territory guys, Splash Damage has been delayed till late next year. Presumably they think the next Call of Duty is fair game for a scrap (it is, after all, probably by Treyarch).
As a compromise, we get a video showing the clever movement system.… Read More…
Tali-Ode : Mass Effect 2 character trailer
She was one of the better characters in the original game, even though she was often stuck in the background (also, no media attention was given too her because she wasn’t a psychotic toad or sex option).
Essentially a child forced into a dangerous quest by her culture, Tali offered a sheltered yet insightful view of the outside universe Bioware had concocted that offered a nice counterpoint to humanities headstrong bull charge into the fray. She was also a capable tech-type, although Andrew Shepard (infiltrator extraordinare) was better *smug*
She’s back in the sequel and is the subject of the … Read More…
