  1. Nintendo Switch

The kids have got one over at their grandma's. Personally I think it's a bit overpriced at the moment for what it is. The controllers are really small (even in my tiny girl-like hands) and one of then has the analog stick right in the middle which some have found uncomfortable. The only play it in docked mode as it's in a play room hooked up to a 32" tv and play things like Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey and 1 2 switch (which is a good laugh after a few drinks, milk that cow!). I haven't really taken much notice of graphical quality as the stuff they play is just typical Nintendo cuteness.

Cheers for the links, it was an interesting read. The in-cable capacitors might be a bit off-putting for me though for cable management.

I've heard that about Seasonic as well just can't find many reviews on the one i've linked to. I used a Corsair one before, it blew up taking the motherboard with it.

Has anyone heard anything about this PSU? https://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-seasonic-focus-plus-gold-full-modular-80-plus-gold-sli-crossfire-single-rail-54a-120mm-fan-atx?v=c I'm not desperate to get a new on but my current PSU is fully wired and getting on a bit and sometimes has a bit of a rattle coming from the fan under load (a common fault with it apparently but not dangerous or anything). Current PSU is an XFX one http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/products/pro-series/pro-series-650w-psu-80-bronze-p1-650s-nlb9 Cheers.

  6. What doesn't piss you off?

Broken down train on the A68 this morning.
  7. Monitor flashes when TV is turned on

Well, Windows has recently updated to Fall Creators update which has kind of fixed this issue, instead of the monitor going black it now refreshes the desktop. Only downside to this is that the Fall Creators update has broken the instant search in Outlook 2007 and support for Office 2007 expired a few months ago so it's probably not going to get fixed.

  10. Monitor flashes when TV is turned on

Today I turned only the pc on and checked the dispay settings, it shows both the tv and the monitor as being connected even though the tv is turned off. I then turned the tv on wihle haveing the display settings open, the tv disapperaed then reappeared as if the connection was getting refreshed. It must be a Samsung thing as I don't remember it happening with my old LG tv. Mind you I don't remember it doing this when I first got the tv either but I have updated the firmware when the Steamlink app so it might be something to do with one of them.

  12. My pc is connected to both a monitor and TV with the display extended accross them, TV is on the left and the monitor is on the right with the monitor being set as the primary display with the taskbar located on the monitor only. If the pc is on and then the TV is turned on the monitor screen will flash off and on twice to a black/blank screen then continues to opperate normally. Sometimes it will flash three times and this causes a problem as when it does this the TV is no longer detected as being connected and only restarting the pc fixes this and it moves all the desktop icons to the TV. My graphics card is a GTX670 with 2 DVI, 1HDMI and 1 displayport connections. The monitor is connected by DVI to DVI and the TV is connected by DVI to HDMI to the PC/DVI connection, I have tried connecting each one via HDMI to HDMI and tried changing which port they are connected to but it doesn't get rid of the problem. The monitor is an Acer K242HL and the TV is a Samsung UE40K5500. Anyone got any ideas as i'm not finding anything on Google. Cheers.
  13. Questions (which-do-not-deserve-their-own-thread) Thread

That's what I thought however it turns out that it doesn't matter as he has played a few hours on the free weekend. He loves it, took to it like 2nd natural and laughs when he gets wiped out.
  14. Questions (which-do-not-deserve-their-own-thread) Thread

Does anyone have a link to info about retuning video games on a physical disc for a refund? Told my wife not to buy my 11 year old son a game for christmas until he had tried it (Overwatch), ignoring my advice she got her sister to buy the 'game of the year edition' for £45, he has tried the game tonight on the free weekend and doesn't like it. The game is unopened and still sealed in the selophane. Cheers.
