2009 has been all about delays – it’s getting hard to keep track of the number of publishers who have bottled it and pushed games (including titles that would probably sell millions anyway) into fiscal Q1 2010 for fear of having to compete with Activision’s beast that is the latest Call of Duty.
Now, surprisingly, Activision have pushed Modern Warfare 2 back two weeks, landing Nov 24th.
It’s just the PC release, of course – another reoccuring trend that is never really justified and is obviously just a cheap ‘anti-piracy’ gesture – but headlines are headlines.
That said, Infinity Ward have released a v. nice trailer to keep everyone happy (though it’ll probably turn out too be the intro movie, as was the case with the first game).
