First up, an update will be along very shortly that will alter/improve the gameplay for both the Engineer & Spy.
- Teleporters will be upgradeable to level 3. As the teleporter is upgraded, the cooldown will decrease.
- Dispensers will be upgradeable to level 3. They will heal faster and generate metal faster as they are upgraded.
- Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off of the ground.
Next up is confirmation that everyone’s favourite Boston Bastard, The Scout, is the focus of the next class pack.
Nothing else is known apart from a desire to make him more useful at maps that don’t specifically require speed (like Dustbowl & Goldrush) and Valve are welcoming ideas on the TF2 forum.
Finally, we have engine improvements that borrow a few refinements from L4D (such as better multi-core support) and a promise that the Xbox 360 version is finally seeing some update loving, with all existing content released for the PC too be rolled into one massive update.
No word on whether it will be monetised by Microsoft, but it’s definitely coming!
