Ubisoft seem too have taken the decision to abandon release of World in Conflict and its imminent Slavic-focused expansion Soviet Assault for the current gen consoles, stating that they are ‘not planned for release at this time’.
Whilst that clearly isn’t an official cancellation, there was no concrete release date set back when Vivendi were in charge and there’s been no real mention or evident marketing push, meaning we can probably assume the worst.
The PC release, however, is on track, with the expansion due in both (chargable) DLC form for existing WiC owners and as a retail SKU bundled with the original WiC for noobs to the series.
Alongside new multiplayer content, the add-on will include a single-player campaign with a storyline concentrating on the Russian side that runs parallel too the original, with the new missions being back-ported into the original campaign.
World in Conflict: Soviet Assault is due on PC sometime this month.
