An offer that’s too good to refuse?: Mafia II Gameplay footage **UPDATED**

Not the best place too be, is it?

Personally, I felt Mafia was one of the best games ever made.  Sure, it had radical difficulty spikes, inconsistent visuals and at times stereotypically poor voice-acting, but the story was majestic and the tense gunplay & realistic driving model gelled almost perfectly.

7 years on and a sequel is nearly upon us – Set in a period spanning the 1940’s & 50’s, the game builds on the prequel by implementing a cover system (ho hum), recharging health (boo!) and a significantly improved engine, offering realistic movement & graphics without sacrificing  detail & realism (yay!).

Trailer after the cut (which contains a lot of swearing, so cover the little ones ears)…

UPDATED – Now with official footage.

Hilarity ensues!
