Pokemon Nintendo Direct Overview

The Pokemon Nintendo Direct came out this week and showed the future of Pokemon for 2017. Lasting only 8 minutes, the Pokemon Direct was snappy and to the point. For those who have not watched it, here is what will come out 2017.

 

Pokken Tournament DX

Coming to Nintendo Switch September 20, 2017, Pokken Tournament DX is the enhanced edition of the original Pokken Tournament on Wii U. Providing five new fighters, Croagunk, Darkrai, Decidueye, Empoleon, and Scizor, Pokken Tournament DX contains 21 playable fighters. You can take these fighters in the new 3-on-3 battles both locally and online.

 

The added online content also includes ranked matches and friend group matches. Players can compete against others for glory or have fun with friends online. More information and video content will be shown at E3.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon

For handheld owners, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon provides an new storyline with Pokemon not seen in the original Sun and Moon games. Unseen features are said to improve gameplay, but were not discussed during the Nintendo Direct. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon are set to be released November 17, 2017.

 

Pokemon Gold and Crystal

Finally, Pokemon Gold and Crystal are being ported to the 3DS Virtual Console. There are currently no plans of a release on the Switch. Pokemon Gold and Crystal will be released on the 3DS eShop September 22, 2017.
