Here’s the games we know as definately coming to the Xbox One following it’s reveal today.
In an interview with The Verge Marc Whitten (Xbox Live VP) confirmed that Xbox One will not feature Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.
This was to be expected with the switch to a different Hardware Architecture making it somewhat difficult – the same problem suffered by the PS4.
Speaking to The Verge he said:
The system is based on a different core architecture, so back-compat doesn’t really work from that perspective.
We’ll have more on the Xbox One as we get it.
Today at their Xbox reveal event, Microsoft lifted the lid on what is now known as the Xbox One.
Capcom have sent along word that Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies will be released for the Nintendo 3DS this autumn.
The game will be an E-Shop Exclusive. Announcement trailer and full Press Release after the jump.
Rockstar have released 3 new Trailers for GTA V, one for each of the main character.
The game is certainly looking really good. Hopefully we’ll get a PC confirmation and next gen consoles at some point soon.
GTA V releases September 17th.
At GDC, Hideo Kojima confirmed what everyone and their mothers already knew – The Phantom Pain (allegedly by Joakim Mogren and Moby Dick Studios) was in fact Metal Gear Solid 5.
Also, as if that wasn’t enough, the previously announced Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is also Metal Gear Solid 5 (both make up MGS5).
The game sees Snake wake up after 9 years in a coma and under attack in the hospital. He spies someone who bears an uncanny resemblance to Psycho Mantis – whether this is real or a phanton (see how it cleverly ties in with the title!) remains to be seen.
The game is due for PS3/360 and is Open World – however it should be noted [...]
Capcom have used their panel at PAX East to announce Ducktales Remastered for 360,PS3 and Wii U.
The game is a remastered version (developed by Wayforward) of thier classic NES Ducktales game (about 70% faithful to the original) obviously with updated graphics, the game will still have 8 Bit Music however.
First trailer for the game is below.
EA have announced that effective March 30th, their CEO John Riccitiello will step down.
Not much is known about his decision to leave, he himself in the press release states he feels it’s time to pass the baton. However it is very hard not to look at this and think of the recent fallout over Sim City (however, that really is a minor issue for a CEO to step down over, and it would more than likely result in someone from Maxis going first).
Although, it could simply be a sign of New Generation, New Direction for EA. Only time will tell.

[quote]REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)— Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today [...]
In a surprising and somewhat strange move. Disney today announced that Epic Mickey 2 would be ported to the Vita for release later this year.
Given how well (read: Poor) the game performed sales wise on other platforms and the fact that the Vita is hardly the biggest selling machine either, you have to wonder where the market is for this port but still Games are Games. The poor critical and public reception to the game led to the eventual shuttering of Junction Point studios, with no word on who is handling this port or what (if any) Vita exclusive features it’ll have.
